Nuthatches, May 17

upstreamforestschool

Continuing with our study of colour, we looked at the colours of birds and why they might be that colour. The children all had their favourite birds already, and used the field guides to pay closer attention to what colours they had, and where. Then, they attempted to build a nest for their bird; attempted because they all were successful (using mud, grass, yarn and sticks) but not all were transportable!

Then, it was back to the boat free play, which they had to move some very heavy logs together to make! Thank you for having me in your class, they are a pleasure to play with!
