We started the day with picking big beautiful apples. Thank you Talia for letting us use your apple picker! We were able to get to new heights and pick apples the size of mini pumpkins.

After a game to wake up our bodies and minds the Foxes challenged themselves to make a pyramid. It took some figuring out and spotting, but everyone was enthusiastic when it was made!

We set up our first tool circle of the year and reviewed it's rules. Ask your Fox the three rules of using knives. After the review we got to cutting up all the apples to make applesauce! We chopped, carved, cooked and milled the apples to make delicious, warm applesauce. While the applesauce was cooking the Foxes got crafty with making weapons from the remaining apples, nails and string.

We ate lunch on Princess Island, had a little free time in the park and played Pirates of the Caribbean. The Foxes adapted the game to play in the woods. The teachers were the pirates and were outwitted and outrun by the Foxes.

The day ended with a quick splash and dip in the river to cool down.
