Starting the day with some physical challenges, the Foxes gave it their all in the three way tug o war and the teachers & Maisey vs the rest of the class. After a game of Pirates in the woods (super challenging), we sat down for a tool circle challenge. We are working with the Foxes to listen to instructions, rise to the challenge when a game is hard and to recognize the benefits of working as a class.
During free time some of the Foxes made delightful little clay models, some bathed in the sun and the rest worked together in harvesting carragana to make a huge cross bow. There is a lot of excitement for the end result. The conversations in the tool circle were around the best stores to buy knifes, different types of knives and pretty much everything you could talk about that had to do with knives.
For the afternoon, we went to the river and played Pirates in the water. It was hard and challenged some of the Foxes when they felt there was not a fast way to win. Way to go Foxes in enduring and never giving up. Congrats to the winning pirates and their zombies!
To end the day we gave the Foxes a fire challenge. It was good to see where everyones fire skills are and to see how they work in little groups. Again, listening to instructions is key! Way to go to the Foxes for lighting your mini fires and roasting your mini marshmallow!
