The tricky Foxes finally got tricked. While they thought they were bidding for items to make a game, they were actually bidding for items to make a nest for an egg. What team made the most robust nest that protect the egg the longes? Ask your Fox. What team had the most difficult items to make a nest with? Ask your Fox. Which team had their egg launch out of its nest in the most dramatic fashion?
The Owls had an interesting morning during free time, which was concentrated in the tool circle to make weapons for a potential 'war' with the kids from the strike camp. We were so proud to watch the Foxes engage in 'battle' where they mostly played to their opponents level. Some of the Foxes were challenged by the kids from strike camp and their ettiqute in battle. Perhaps ask your Fox how they saw their role in the battle. Were they just competitors or also mentors? During lunch the Foxes all sat close together and were very bonded then usual as a group.

For those not interested in the battle, they worked with clay and made a very cool double swing.
In the afternoon, we joined three forest school classes: the Foxes, Strike Camp and the Rabbits to play an mega game of three way Capture the Flag. Rather than the regular sneaking game, we played in Sammy's park and it was all about running and waiting for the right moment. With the help of some of the teachers the Rabbits won. The Strike Camp came second and the Foxes came a close third. We debriefed the game for a while at the end of the day. It seemed that some of the strike camp kids were not playing fair. Ask your Fox about the game, how they played, what were their successes and their frustrations?
