The Foxes went on a Tour de Playgrounds last Thursday. The first destination, Helicopter Park was the longest leg at 6.2 km. Way to go Foxes!
We stayed here for quite a while as the Foxes played in the park and made an imaginary convoy with their bikes, after seeing a real practice convoy along memorial drive. Before heading to the next park we played a new game that brought everyone together in friendly competition.
At the next park the Foxes held a mock trial and continued with their convoy bike formations. Emmy, Maisy and Talia tested their balancing as they tried to reach equilibrium on a see saw.
We had lunch at the next park. The Foxes had fun playing in the sand with diggers and trucks.
Our last stop was the in the concrete jungle aka Shaw Mellennium Skate Park. The Foxes had had fun playing in the sand of the volleyball park, sliding into the skate bowls and getting themselves out. We ended our time here with a class game of zombie ant in one of the deepest bowls. It was so fun.
After a day of biking and estimated 14km and all the running, climbing, jumping and sliding we expect they slept well. This week we will have a day on the bluff to store up energy for one last bike ride for our last class!
