I forgot the blog last week, so here is a quick recap. The Cottontails started the afternoon with collecting a few spruce sprigs on the bluff and comparing them to pine sprigs, curling on the ice rink at Sammies Park and playing on the ice slide. It was cold and the Cottontails were hungry so we headed into the cabin a little earlier than usual. Once inside we set about making spruce/pine needle tea with lots of honey. There was a lot of discussion about the particular taste of the tea. Ask your Cottontail about it.
While in the cabin we read A Very Grumpy Bear and talked about how to be thoughtful when we choose gifts to give. We also made some beautiful valentines day hearts.
We headed outside a little earlier than usual and went over the road to explore the natural ice slide. This led into a great expedition to the top of the bluff and navigating over to the top of the rope climb. This was not for the faint of heart and the Cottontails were exhillerated to have accomplished such a feat. Thank you Avyn for helping with the younger Cottontails and making sure everyone was safe!
