Cottontails, Apr 12

Looking for and discovering ladybugs in the leaves is fascinating for the Cottontails. They are collected in our bug jars and if the children are holding the ladybugs they stay for a long time on their hands letting them look at them closely and befriend them. We also found a spider which let some of the children to chat about the differences between bugs, insects and spiders.

With the warmer weather we are starting to journal. As bug investigators we'll be drawing and writing about any insects and spiders we see on the bluff. Maybe we'll find a new species.
