Burrowing Owls, April 5
Even though our numbers were few, we were able to explore some new ideas and enjoyed each other's company!
We began trying our orienteering, a running adventure that uses maps, symbols and eventually the compass to find hidden controls in the forest. We tried a 'kids versus teachers' map activity, and ….well, ask your Owl who won, and by how much!
We worked on our Norwegian braiding, which we are very proficient at by now! It is a focussed, quiet activity that produces great dresult! Also, with the nicer wetahter, we are nejoying more carving, especially our TrySticks, which teaches us different carving cuts.
Arwyn will be heading to Vancouver; she will be missed, and we wish her all the best!
